Points! My kingdom for some points!!!

I've discovered that how well I do at poker is directly related to how well the Sounders are doing.

Tuesday night Smith and I went to poker. We played in some Sit and Gos, and I am happy and pleased to say that I scored points for 3rd place, and later in the night, scored points for 1st! I had a plan to come in with a more aggressive style, which definitely paid off.

I was at a couple of really good tables, with Steve, Dave Lee, Kyle, and Steve's roommate John. Steve and John are converts from the trivia night at Jillian's, and they are pretty cool guys to have at a table.

Ariah is always so kind to oblige me the Sounders on at least one TV.

Last Tuesday was also my best friend Marisa's birthday. Poor Marisa, she had to work and missed over half of the game. It was just a friendly against Chivas de Guadelahara, and her man Roger Levesque got two assits.

I was also given compliments on my ability to deal the cards and have a telephone conversation at the same time. It takes real skill to do that.

Trevor wandered by one of my tables at some point during the night, just in time to see me flip over my King-3 (king crab) and win the pot. "Way to rock King Crab!" Thank you. Thank you very much.

So, look for some more exciting action as I return, yet again, to Tuesday night poker. I have points to defend, so watch out!

Things they are a-changing. We FINALLY got a dining room table yesterday, and I now feel like a real, functioning adult. And somehow I ended up at a Chinese karaoke bar last night in West Seattle-- and was only one drink away from singing "Centrefold."

Perhaps the SPO needs a karaoke machine....?

  1. You must have missed out on past seasons on Wednesday nights when Jillians had Karaoke upstairs with very drunk people attempting to sing and for some reason it always seemed to start when you go to the final table.
I vote no on the SPO Karaoke.
