Well, yesterday was painful. So, so painful. I drank tequila. I never drink tequila. Well, that's a lie. I don't usually choose to drink tequila. That's how bad the pain was. I'm still proud of the Seahawks for doing so well this year, and especially impressed with the level of team cohesion that they were able to achieve. Russell Wilson still deserves Rookie of the Year!
Anyway, tomorrow marks another night of poker. I'm looking forward to continuing my ambitious rise in the SPO. For this week, I think my goals are to maintain consistency, and to knock Mike out of the tournament for a second time. :)
And, as usual, what would my weekly reflective post be without some song lyrics and an explanation of how they directly correlate to my life and poker? :)
"And I don't wanna be an old man anymore
It's been a year or two since I was out on the floor
Shakin' booty, makin' sweet love all the night
It's time I got back to the Good Life
It's time I got back, it's time I got back
and I don't even know how I got off the track
I wanna go back…Yeah!"
-Weezer, "The Good Life"
Well, I think that's pretty self-explanatory. I'm getting back to the good life. It's about time. Things are looking up! I'm hoping to be moved out of my hellhole of a home by the end of this month, I'm rocking school, I have an amazing set of friends (Love y'all!) and I am feeling happy. Consistently happy. I think that maturity and positive attitude is serving me well in life and I think it will serve me well tomorrow at poker.
Only 28 hours until the cards are in the air! Can't wait!
